Entry Ticket for Cars and Buses in Taormina
The Municipal Administration of Taormina has established a new measure requiring the payment of a ticket to enter the city. In addition to parking expenses, cars, minibuses and buses must now pay a few to enter the Sicilian destination. This new practice is becoming typical throughout Italy.
Transportation Changes in Venice
Boats in Venice are no longer allowed to reach San Basilio pier, therefore transfers to/from San Basilio pier must be done through Piazzale Roma via car, minivan or coach. Therefore, if guests are staying in the St. Marks area, transfer to San Basilio pier should be done via private boat to Piazzale Roma and then from Piazzale Roma to San Basilio pier via private car or others.
Transportation rates between two destinations may vary depending on the direction due to new routing restrictions in Venice.
Open-Top Buses in Rome!
New to Rome - open-top, single decker bus service! The new service, organised by Trambus Open, can travel along those routes that are prohibited to double decker buses. Trambus Open has organised three types of Stop & Go routes with audio guides in six languages (Italian-English-French-Spanish-German-Japanese) and multi-lingual hostesses on board. These buses may not be the top choice for groups, but individuals will love this new way to view Ancient Rome.

Due to new regulations from the Vatican Authorities, reservations for groups must be made to enter the Vatican Museums. Reservations may also be requesting for individual tickets. The request for the reservation can be made
only 1 month prior to the scheduled visit, and the Vatican Authorities will answer with availability (or not) and the timing. Please keep this in mind when planning your next group visit to Rome.
