Beauty in the heart of Mugello
Villa Campestri www.villacampestri.it It is located up on a hill at 35km from Florence in the heart of Mugello area. It is surrounded by a 140 hectares park where olive oil and chestnuts trees grow allowing nice walks of great interest from an artistical and naturalistic point of view. Villa Campestri is a marvelous typical Renaissance Villa completely renovated. The oldest part is dated back fro 13th century. It has been owned by noble family Marchesi Roti Michelozzi until 1989 and documents proof that the family instructed in 1380 an artist Lorenzo di Bicci (from Giotto School) to fresco the tabernacle located at the entrance of the Villa, nowadays still existing. Around those times was also built the small Chapel within the Villa premises still existing and consecrated.

Have You Ever Experienced Reggio Emilia?

  • Reggio Emilia is 102 miles northwest of Florence / 139 miles southwest from Venice.
